STORYBOARD/WORKBOOK

Little known fact, workbooking began at the Disney Studios during Walt's era. Workbook became known as the blueprint (foundation) of any animated film; think of it as building a house, all the information for each scene of the film is compiled within the sequence pages. Using the storyboard poses, I would stage the characters in each new composition. Included would be camera instructions (that are planned out), list of background levels that work with the characters and any added notes. Once the layout supervisor approves the workbook then it goes to the layout crew to create the production artwork.
